Southern Farm Bureau Casualty Insurance Company (Arkansas Operation) Improves Productivity and ROI with its New Access Strategy

Second Largest P&C Insurer in Arkansas Standardizes on Provision Networks Access Solutions

May 9th, 2006 – Washington, DC. Provision Networks, the global provider of server-based access infrastructure solutions for the Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) Windows Terminal Server platform, today announced , that Southern Farm Bureau Casualty Insurance Company’s Arkansas operation (SFBCIC) has deployed the Provision Management Framework® for its enterprise application deployment, provisioning and access.

The Provision Management Framework (PMF), Enterprise Edition is a full-featured access infrastructure solution that leverages the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 platform, and delivers anywhere, anytime access to applications and network resources. Enterprise features such as Seamless Windows, Application Publishing, Load Balancing, Access Control, a Web Portal and an SSL Gateway embrace the RDP protocol and enhance the deployment, manageability, performance, and security of Terminal Services environments of all sizes.

As the second largest provider of property and casualty insurance in the state of Arkansas, with 106 offices in 75 counties, supporting 381 agents and over 100 adjusters, SFBCIC was faced with the challenging task of supporting a wide variety of users and computing environments needing access to corporate applications and resources over low bandwidth and high latency connections.

“From previous experience, we knew that a server-based computing implementation would achieve our goal of seamlessly connecting our dispersed user community,” said Pat Kinnison, Network Server Administrator with SFBCIC.

SFBCIC implemented side-by-side proofs of concept utilizing Citrix MetaFrame Presentation Server 4.0 and the Provision Management Framework, to deploy a variety of applications including Mainframe access, Homeland Tracker and a graphically intensive high resolution document imaging application. The resulting outcome led the insurer to choose the Provision Networks solution, and cited the following as the primary reasons:

- Ease of installation
- Better performance for LAN and WAN users
- Richness of features
- Outstanding support
- Printing flexibility and performance
- Appropriately priced

“We have been extremely pleased with the solution and are finding excellent success,” continued Mr. Kinnison. “It just works. Even over low bandwidth connections, users experience on-the-LAN results.”
