Provision Networks and Softricity Announce Technology
Alliance Partnership
The Two Companies Will Collaborate on Technology
Development and Marketing Initiatives
November 9th, 2005 – THINcity - Arlington, VA – Provision Networks® and
Softricity® announced today that the two companies have formed a strategic
alliance, delivering best-of-breed application access and virtualization to
partners and clients worldwide.
Provision Networks, a global provider of access infrastructure solutions for
the Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) Windows Terminal Server platform, and Softricity,
the leader in application virtualization, are collaborating on both the
technology as well as the marketing fronts.
The Provision Management Framework features seamless integration with the
SoftGrid platform, enabling organizations to transform Softricity virtualized
applications into published resources accessible using the Provision-IT module
for Windows Terminal Services. With Softricity ZeroTouch™, the combined
solution will allow for intelligent application deployment and execution,
determining whether an application should be delivered to the client PC for
local execution or launched through a terminal server. End-users will have a
consistent users experience since the combined solution enables applications
launched through terminal server to look like locally-executing applications
through the use of Provision Networks’ seamless window technology.
“As a satisfied enterprise client of both technologies, we welcome the close
alliance Provision Networks and Softricity are forming,” commented David Herr,
Director of IT with Asbury Services.
The alliance partnership will deliver marketing collaboration between the two
companies, the development of joint sales engagements, and cooperative support
mechanisms. The two companies will also work on further integrations between
their two product lines.
“We are excited to be working with Softricity,” said John Brennan, VP of
Corporate Strategy for Provision Networks. “Our joint value proposition to
customers and partners is simple but quite compelling – two best-of-breed
technologies, fully interoperable, that provide intelligent application access
regardless of location.”
“The Provision Networks product is exactly what many of our customers are
looking for to complement their Softricity ZeroTouch deployments,” said Les
Yetton, VP of Business Development, Softricity.
Paul Ghostine, CEO of Emergent OnLine, a Provision Networks Certified Solutions
Advisor and Softricity Certified Consulting Partner, added that “this is a
powerful alliance that will find wide acceptance among customers and partners.
We are already packaging both technologies as a single compelling solution.”
